OVERVIEW OF COURSES
All Pilates Training modules are conducted over Saturday and Sunday weekends (18 hours including lunch). Two-Day courses are $500 plus cost of manual. One-Day courses are $275 plus cost of manual. Workshops vary in pricing.
MAT AND FOAM ROLLER WORKSHOP
COMING SOON! MARCH 2019. We hold this course every 4-6 weeks.
Learn core strengthening exercises, release work, and stretching. Improve athletic performance and flexibility and reduce workout soreness and muscle pain, releasing the connective tissue known as fascia. Cost $65, includes foam roller. $45 Bring Your Own Roller.

Learn how to apply Pilates principles into a fun one-hour formated class at the ballet barre. IHP Barre emphasizes Pilates form, Latte Burke technique, and class design using choreography created by Jeannine Kruger Corbell.

MAT I: Beginning and Intermediate: The Mat is The Method!

Pre-requisites: 10 Mat Classes prior to course, required reading “Return to Life” (purchase on Amazon or at our studio)
Acquire a deeper understanding of Pilates Principles; learn to teach pre-Pilates sequences, traditional mat work, and intermediate exercises. This is also an ideal course for those wanting to learn The Method for their own home and self-practice.
PILATES FOR SPECIALTY POPULATIONS: Pregnancy/Osteoporosis
APRIL 6th, 2019, SATURDAY 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM Cost $75.00. Register Here by March 5th.
This workshop will offer insight on how to work safely and effectively with clients with osteoporosis, and pregnant clients, pre-natal through post. Learn safe and necessary applications and modifications on mat and apparatus. Use of props will be encouraged and term specific issues will be addressed and incorporated. Learn specific exercises for incorporating into your class design so your clients can follow along in a group class. Demonstrated modifications, applications and exercises are highly beneficial to the teacher of specialty populations.
PILATES ARC WORKSHOP
APRIL 7TH, SUNDAY 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM, Cost $225 with Arc or $55 without. Register Here by March 5th.
The Pilates Arc, traditionally known as the Spine Corrector, is easily the most powerful small apparatus you can get. Lightweight and easy to store this “ab-killing-machine“ will give you lots and lots of bang for your buck. Mobilize your spine, deeply connect into your core muscles and work out easily at home. BARREL TRAINING with PILATES ARC WORKSHOP
APRIL 7TH, SUNDAY 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM,Cost $275. Register Here by March 5th.
This course is a One-Day training and covers the traditional beginning through advanced exercises and applications on the Step Barrel/Arc, traditionally known as Spine Corrector, as well as the Ladder Barrel. All exercises are broken down and demonstrated in detail with the correct set-up, execution, common errors, teaching tips and hands-on cueing. Contemporary variations will be integrated and mixed apparatus class design will be explored.
MAT II: Intermediate and Advanced
APRIL 27-28, 2019, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM, Register Here by April 1st.
Pre-requisites: Mat I module. Recommended reading material, “Return to Life,” and “Anatomy of Pilates,” 15 mat classes.
Challenge your mind and your body to the next level of control and body awareness. Explore how to successfully execute, apply and/or modify the intermediate to advanced exercises. This course includes a thorough review of the Mat I work with an emphasis on teaching practice for one-hour format class settings.
REFORMER I: Beginning and Intermediate
JUNE 8-9, SATURDAY and SUNDAY 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Pre-requisites: 10 Reformer Classes prior to course, required reading “Return to Life” and “Anatomy of Pilates”.
Brief Description: Learn, understand and apply the basic-intermediate exercises on the Reformer, relate the Pilates principles and mat work to the equipment and explore both classical and contemporary variations.
REFORMER II: Intermediate and Advanced
JUNE 22-23, SATURDAY and SUNDAY 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Pre-requisites: Reformer I module. Recommended reading material, “Return to Life,” and “Anatomy of Pilates,” 15 reformer classes.
Learn intermediate and advanced excercises and applications, as well as class design. Add challenges and depth to workouts adding props like the foot plate/ jump board. Learn teaching and presentation skills as well as class choreography.
STABILITY CHAIR TRAINING with CHAIR WORKSHOP
SEPTEMBER 7, 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM
This one-day course covers the traditional beginning though advanced exercises and applications on the Pilates Wunda Chair, one of the most challenging and versatile pieces of Pilates equipment promoting balance, control, core strength and stability.
All exercises are broken down and demonstrated in detail with the correct set up, execution, probable problems, common errors, teaching tips, and hands on cueing.
Contemporary variations will be added and mixed apparatus class design will be explored.
CADILLAC /TRAP TABLE / TOWER
Pre-requisites: I Heart Pilates instructor approval
This 2 Day Training covers all the classical Cadillac/Trap Table exercises as well as contemporary variations and applications for the Tower/Springboard set-up. Focus is on personal training, class design, and programming.
Pilates and Props Workshop
This is a 3 hour workshop using the Pilates ring, aka Magic Circle. This traditional prop invented by Joseph Pilates can help enhance mat workouts, add variety, offer modifications & challenges. This prop makes any class fun and functional while achieving extra strengthening, toning, and increased flexibility.
