Level 1 Mat Training begins the course of all Pilates Teaching courses, offered twice per year.

The IHP Teacher Training program offers quality Pilates training and education for a diverse client population. Whether you are interested in teaching Pilates group classes or individual personal training sessions, we have the resources you need to succeed in your Pilates journey.
The IHP program is assessment based and participants receive a certificate of completion. Trainers can also receive certifying credentials through the Physical Mind Institute by completing an one hour comprehensive test-out* with additional $125 fee. Comprehensive studio apprenticeship programs are also offered on a case by case basis, where one can study and practice on a regular basis.

*Comprehensive Test-Out, instructors will be assessed in the following categories:

  • Understanding of the Pilates Method and underlying principles (written exam)
  • Sequencing and class design based on the traditional Pilates Method
  • Safe and effective cueing
  • Client/Teacher rapport
  • Teaching demeanor and personality

BALANCED BODY CHAIR TRAINING, August 15-16, Saturday & Sunday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

LEVEL ONE APPARATUS TRAINING, with Davidson Reid, Fall 2020, dates tbd

Cost $650

Level 1 Training on the Reformer, Chair, Trapeze Table, and Barrel. Bring the fundamentals of Mat Training to the Apparatus.

IHP Educational class material is aligned with, and amounts to the PMA
requirements of 450 hours minimally of training on mat and all
apparatus to include: Reformer, Trapeze Table, Wunda chair, Ladder
Barrel, plus self-study, observation, and practice teaching hours.
